A blog is not a book :-)

This blog is written in International English, the fluid ever evolving dialect of people in the Western World who are broadening their mental horizons, exploring different ways of being beyond their own cultural programming.

One request to all readers, but especially the native English speakers: please assess the quality and usability of the texts on this blog using the dictionary and grammar book of your soul.

I write on this blog what I feel inspired to write, when I feel inspired to write it, in no particular order. I hope you'll enjoy the fuzzy logic behind it too.

Change equals loss?!

Many people detest change.
Usually the same people who don’t seem to embrace life fully.
This observation (of me) doesn’t surprise me at all.... change is in the nature of life.
Having difficulties with change is having difficulties with life.

The very same people do usually have a strong desire for change, funnily enough.
Usually, they are investing quite some energy in expressing in which areas of their life, somebody should make changes, to improve their lives.
Complaining about how governments, big companies, bosses and relatives are dealing with the issues they hold dear. They do it ‘ all wrong’ and are not ‘ responsible’ enough, not taking their needs sufficiently into account.

Well, let’s put it this way:
Those people and I, we are on the same starting position and we agree on the same general approach:” If something is influencing the quality of life in an undesirable way, something really needs to change, somebody has got to make better decisions and do the right thing!

Looking into the details of the tactics used, I also notice a couple of striking differences.
The ‘ something’ that needs to change and the ‘somebody’ who has got to make the better decisions and has to do the right thing.
My tactics used to lean, for quite some while also to expressing that ‘ something in the outside world’ needs to change and I also used to point to ‘ other people’ as the prime responsible adults in the best position to do so.
Since 2012, I practise (and advocate) choosing as the first port of call to look for a response able adult: oneself.
It is also since 2012 that I started to (re-)discover the Knowing.

Nowadays, I influence what I can easily influence, which is usually my own perceptions and my choices of my next action(s)) which has an immediate impact on the quality of my life: I feel better and I see more and better possibilities.

Enfin, this was a little D-tour, some sightseeing along the road to where I was intending to go with this.

I was intending to expand on the scribbling in my little notebook:

Change equals loss!
Change equals the end of life as we know it.

Anybody who beliefs the former and perceives the latter as bad, in the core of their being, is not welcoming change and will do everything in their power to preserve what life is known to be, in a fearful way, coming from a fear of loss.
These people resist change on a very fundamental level of their being.

In wondering why this is such a strong phenomena, so that no sequences of self-development books, retreats, diets, healing sessions, inspirational movies is of any practical consequence... I came up with this explanation. It is also illustrating how strong the Knowing’s influence is, even without you consciously knowing it.
( But I am biased, keep that in mind...make your own mind up!!)

The people resist making changes (themselves) to the fundaments of their being (their prime directives if you like, their core settings), because they have bad experiences with doing that,  that caused them loss!
The last time they did that, on instigation of people they trusted to know what they were doing, somewhere in childhood, it did cause a severe loss.
Is caused them to experience the loss of freedom of choice, of play, of innocence, of limitless curiosity, of high speed developments, of creativity, of a sense of self, of a sense of power.... and in the slipstream of that.... being a fully functioning happy healthy resourceful human being.

No wonder, that in their own database of life, there is a series of red flags waving frantically at any inkling to do such a thing :” Are you really really sure you wish to proceed”?

With so many red flags from the most reliable source in the world ( you own honest self), you are pretty sure you don’t want to proceed. You can’t cope with the thought of losing any more in life!

Life as you know it may not be that bright, but at least it is the life as you know it.

Now, every night in your sleep, you soul references the Knowing, to see what is known by mankind about a phenomena. What did other people experience in similar situations? What were the effects of proceeding with this action in the majority of cases?
That knowledge is brought back to you and ‘ under the bonnet of your consciousness’ made available to you.
You soul will convey any warming signals too, if something is known to be causing major problems in mankind as a whole.

If you were wondering (asking the Knowing) :” Is following somebody else’s lead on making fundamental chances in your core settings known to be a good idea?” The answer will be a very definite ‘ no, it is strongly advised against doing that’.
No child who has done it, has really enjoyed the result of it. Millions and millions of humans have filled this file with their experience. Hard to (dis)miss.

And so, with warnings from your own private database and warnings coming through your soul... the inkling fades, your  system’s setting remain the same,  live as you know it continues to live another day.

But, because of the nature of life... that.....it doesn’t!  It changes, always......and in doing so, life keeps creeping up on you. You comfort zone gets smaller and smaller.
Why?

I would say:” Because you are not asking the right questions, you are not getting the answers that really serve your wellbeing!”
The Universe, the Knowing, they are like Google on theinternet. They take your quest(ions)  very serious, but also very literal.

If there is something you would benefit from doing, I would say, it would be to monitor what you ask, what you wonder, keep an eye on your questions ( and the appeal of the answers you find, of course).
Reword your questions, over and over again and don’t stop doing that until you get really satisfying  an to-the-point answers. Change nothing but the wording in how you wonder, before making any fundamental changes in your system and your actions. Fly an issue from all the angles you can think of, use all the synonyms for a word you can think of, use the word for a phenomenon you like best, change the words, change your questions.

The wonderful thing about doing that is many-fold:
·         Questions don’t alter any fundamental setting, it is investigating... it is safe
·         Your personal database will tell you how often you already got better answers by asking better questions, so it is considered to be a good idea, right from day 1.
·         The Knowing, through your soul, will tell you that people who were altering their questions received results they liked better, so it is considered to be a good idea by mankind to.
·         Meanwhile, you do get better answers, more options to chose from, experience in processing information and making your own mind up.
·         You have changed something and it lead to more, insteed of less!
·         Your comfort zone regarding ‘ change’ grows.

One day, you might  ask :”I wonder if it could be a good idea to structurally make my own mind up?”
That will be answered, both by your own database ( from recent experience) as well as by the Knowing ‘ yes, people who make structurally their own mind up usually like the results of doing that’.
Two very reliable sources saying the same thing, calmly and confidently.....

Are there enough reasons to trust me on this, to follow this advice?
Right now? NO!!!!!

One:
This blog, with my rather unconventional ideas, has a size smaller than a sand particle in the information desert online called the world wide web. Some of the things I say,  quite openly contradict with common understandings you'll find anywhere else online. There is safety in numbers, in common sense, you know!?

Two:
I am in no position to make suggestions for change to you.
Even if we do happen to know each other, from real life..... chances are that I am not living anywhere near you and that the choices you are facing and making are completely inconsequential to my personal life sphere and vice versa.

For now, treat this stuff at best like one single dust flake, in the files of  your reliable sources.

If it fascinates you, maybe sleep a night on it.... and come back to it tomorrow.

There will be more to come, my take on:
- safety in numbers
- the importance of relative positions in developments
