the 3 wise nomads

Hypocritus, Hippocrates , Hypothesus
(and Hypochonder, the one who physically carries the really heavy stuff)
on their way, paying their respect with their best gifts
It is august.
Not the time of year, traditionally to speak of Epiphany, with three wise people paying their respects to the embodiment of a good life.
But heh….. if they knock on my door today, what am I to do…. send them away?
There is plenty of space for them to spend a night here, three fish in the freezer, three courgettes in the garden.
Why not share what we’ve got?

They shared with me their wisdom and what I heard put a smile on my face.
The four of us spoke about life, what works for them, what works for me.
It matched so beautifully, their story simply has to become a blog post.

Let me first sketch, how they presented themselves.

(They all fulfil their specialised tasks to their best ability and have a power  source that supports them, and they consult it whenever they can as their main power source. So, in whatever they do, they refer to it, like in their introduction here.)

Hypocritus:
I am a public relations specialist. It is my job to keep an eye on the image that took years to carefully built up. I contribute to the sustenance of good appearances, so help me…. my belief system.
Hippocrates:
I am a healer. It is my job to fix things that have gone wrong. I contribute to the sustenance of good health, so help me…. my protocols. ( I am also the main carer for Hypochonder)
Hypothesus:
I am a developer. It is my job to improve things so they go structurally better. I contribute to good developments, so help me…. my imagination.

We had some fun comparing notes, their experiences and mine.

I showed them some of my analogies and we soon agreed on how it fitted in with their Nomadic lifestyle.
In  my map of Joy, Hippocrates identified himself with seeking Peace, Hypocritus with seeking Pleasure and Hypothesus with seeking Harmoney.

In my music analogy, Hippocrates recognised himself as the creator of the base, the steady natural rhythm of the beat, Hypocritus with creating the melody, whistling and singing the nice tunes and Hypothesus the creator of the compositions, the arrangements.

In the be-do-have paradigm I mentioned (as a toy to play with from Neale Donald Walsch), they saw their place:
  • Hippocrates is most concerned with ‘ What I do’,
  • Hypocritus is most concerned with  ‘ What I have’,
  • Hypothesus with ‘ What I am’.

Their focuses of service:
  • Hippocrates : the high (working) standards of the physical elements ( the body) , mechanical/technical connections, ‘ what will people (be able) to do?’
  • Hypocritus : the high standards of the outward appearance,  the social connections, ‘what will people (be able to ) think’ (mind)
  • Hypothesus: the high standards of development, the meta-physical connections (soul) , ‘ what will people (be able to) experience’


We spoke about the quality of life and how much frustration there is in this world inner and outer conflicts everywhere, people seeking for happiness, meanwhile struggling. Finding life: shallow, dull or lonely.

They laughed.
  • Hippocrates says, whenever he is out doing his own for a long time, people call him dull and eventually he starts to look for more happiness.
  • Hypocritus, says, whenever he is out doing his own thing for a long time, people call him shallow and eventually he starts to look for more happiness.
  • Hypothesus says, whenever he stays home and Hypocritus and Hippocrates are out and about for a long time, together or apart, he gets somewhat lonely, because nobody visits him until they come home and start to look for more happiness.

Is there a moral  in this encounter?

My hypotheses would be:
That if your happiness can do with a boost, see that you are the whole nomadic tribe.
You are Hippocrates, Hypocritus and Hypothesus, they are the 3 wise personalities of your whole wisdom as a human being, paying their respective respects in sharing their gifts with the  embodiment of a good life (you).
Everybody is Hippocrates, Hypocritus and Hypothesus.

The most interesting question is how the three of them are welcomed iand invited to share all their gifts in your dwelling, in you, by you, with you.

Their main focus:
Hypocritus: words..... form
Hippocrates: deeds......energy in form
Hypothesus: meaning..... energy

I played some more with yesteryday's image and incorporated the paragraph I read before falling asleep.

Yes, people can predominantly focus the mind on the short term pleaures of the body.
Yes, people can predominantly focus the mind on the long term aspects of the two.

Has anybody told ' people' that the mind is a stereo device and can receive both channels simultaniously for a much richer, completer experience?

Yes, somebody just did....right here, right now.

But there may be a wider picture to this too......

With the idea of the mental radar in mind, I had a little play this morning, to see how I could combine a fair number of ideas and concepts in one image.

Amazing how it fits, or should I say AWESOME?

Note how in pin head view,( not illustrated here but use your imagination on the image in the former blog post)  four shakra's are falling of the radar?
Is it a wonder then that in pin head view you don't feel safely connected to all that is?
Safety is what the red, root, chakra deals with. Full connection and understanding is what the crown chakra deals with, often disputed if its colour is deep purple or white..duh.... it depends when you look... its a purple lighthouse (in the light) flashing white light in the dark! (smiley face).
Note how in pin head view, 2 islands of Joy are complelety invisible: Peace and Harmoney?

Of course, it is a seriously playful coincidence that is all fits so nicely....... simply... Food for Thought.


Mental radar

In the last couple of days, I’ve been working on various projects.
It feels appropriate to share this image of the mental radar, that is part of an analogy of naviagting in life, where I explain how everybody can (easily) tap into ’collective consciousness’.... 

I think... not only the collective benefits from more individuals doing that (becoming also conscious of the collective) , enabling themselves that way to act (navigate) wisely based on the information visible in the overall view....
The individuals who are involved also benefit from being in a better position... in themselves as well as relative to the people around them.

And since the members of the various collectives also open their minds to what is (really) going on around them in other collectives they relate to..... people are much less 'running into each other', but can see how to 'give way' so they all can reach their destination smoothly, happily and safely, while enjoying the journey....within their own collective, as well as between collectives.

There are various setting possible on your mental radar:

The pin head setting is usuful to see who is moving about in your own community
(not adviced as a default setting for plotting a course (of actions))
The pin head seting is infinitely small part on the mental radar picture in the overall setting.
(gives much more clues on what is relevant in navigating the community to where it desires to go)

Note the lighthouse of ' our wellbeing' always on the map in ' overall view'

Notice how even information in the field of  ' my ' joy is not visible in the micro-view of ' who has which position within the community'

Note: two individuals both in pin head view, see a different mental picture.
Two individuals both in overall view, see the same mental picture, including all the individual joys of the members of the community!

Like with all radar images:‘my position’ never changes.
As always on radars, your own position is right in the middle. 
There is no great risk of losing your position. As long as you all pay attention to what you are doing and are navigating the waters wisely and the vessel is afloat, you’ll find yourself right there in any view.

 The overall view in more detail:

1 My position
This is something most people need some time for to get their head around, because in this view, one enlarges the view from ‘personal’ position, to ‘collective’ position.
So, .... although the vessel is moving in this world and the individual is moving within it, 'my positon' now indicates ' the vessels' position, where the vessel is the community your are currently operating in. ( the family, the organisation you work for....).


2 My joy
Now we are in the personal sphere of individuals on board ship, part of this community.
Here I am talking about each and every persons individual joy, when it comes to navigating the community.
In this field, the values that matter (have enough significant mass to show up on the radar) to each individual person involved in the care for what is happening are made visible.
Made visible to everybody, who is consulting the mental radar in this view.

Joy may need some more explanation. It is a wider concept than pure pleasure or sheer happiness. In a nutshell: it is also the joy of knowing how to deal in a harmonious way with grief, loss, sadness, challenges etcetera.

3 Care for our wellbeing
This vessel has a purpose, all its movements are aiming to:  CARE.
In all situations.... when what you aim for is not seen, not a noticeable clear dot in the everyday reality (the silver ring of the mental radar) it is very difficult to stay on a course in the right direction.
But if you make sure that the lighthouse of CARE (called ‘our wellbeing’) , the brightest, lightest, biggest dot that really matters is always showing on your mental radar, it is so much easier to see it and adjust your course in the right direction.

Play for yourself with it?

If you want to play with this mental radar setting, you might wonder:" How do I get see that view?'

It is activated whenever you ask yourself:" How does this serve our wellbeing?'
Then stand still and observe the picture and movements in your system.
When you ask the same question to another, you can initiate to synchronise to the same mental radar image and take it from there.

Just realise, the minute you wonder: anything about your personal position, in relation to the people in your community (do I have more of X, Y or Z then......or do they have more than me.....you are switching to ' pin head' view again!
This setting has it's place and use in the world, don't get me wrong.
All I am saying is that if you base your navigational actions in life on focussuing most of the time on comparing/ competeing for positions within your community ... joy disappears off the radar as well as proper care for the wellbeing of all involved, staying on course aiming for the lighthouse. 

Remember: Joy is Pleasure, Peace and Harmoney, for all involved.

Links me-time and the Knowing (III)

The human mind’s attention span is (at best) about 20 minutes.After 20 minutes, it needs a small break to function at its highest capacity.

When the tension needed to focus weakens, you are:
  • Tiring
  • Making more and more mistakes
  • Missing relevant information

A small quality me-time break of just a few minutes:
  • Allows gathered information in the last 20 minutes to be stored properly, which helps you to retrieve it quickly when you need it some other time.
  • Recharges you:
    Your soul nips to the Knowing with your current experiences and brings back both new energy and new ideas to either proceed with your task at hand, or decide to invest your time in something else altogether.



Rinse and repeat.....


Your overall performance is better, runs smoother and you'll enjoy the process more.
Using less enegy, achieving more in less time.

alternative response to distress call

It is possible to use the capacities of the auto-tuningsystem to help somebody move through some difficult emotional turbulence, in an unconventional ( as in... not widely known.....) way.

'Tune into me'

In the conventional ways two strategies are quite often used, often in combination :
  1. The ‘ helper’ tunes into (listens, looks, gives attention to) the person who is experiencing the emotional turbulence and lets him or her express those emotions. Being able to express the emotions and thoughts that are involved, is a way to move through them and when all that is brought to the light, it is very well possible to find calmness and confidence from there.
  2. The helper gives advice, shares ideas on what the person in turbulence can do.

These strategies both have the potential to work well and have often as a result that both are feeling better (happy, calm and confident) as a result of having dealt with the situation in a successful way: the turbulence is ‘ overcome’.

Putting these options in an analogy, they can be understood as ‘ radio air traffic control assistance’.

The pilot in turbulence is in contact with somebody who is willing to help and probably can offer good advice.
In this scenario it is clear that the assistance is, on an energetic level, somewhere else. The pilot and the assistance are not in the same e-scape.
This energetical distance can even be a great help, because sometimes looking from outside into a situation, is giving more information and clues on ‘ what is going on’ and ‘what can be done to solve it’. 

If and when these strategies work well for all involved,  I’d say that this common practise is obviously fine, ticking all the boxes for a joyful way of dealing with emotional turbulence.

However.....when these approaches to help are experienced by at least one of the people involved as not completely peaceful and harmonious, ‘ choosing another strategy’ may be  a wise thing to do.

There is a way to move closer to joy, in dealing as a team with emotional turbulence, using not much else but the (healing) power of the auto-tuning system.
It tackles two frequently occurring problems that can arise with the two conventional methods. Which issues are often experienced when somebody turn to somebody else for support in a turbulent episode?:
  1. When the helper tunes into somebody else’s emotional turbulence it can quite easily kick of difficult issues in the helpers own system as a result... . When that happens, there are two people in turbulence who can’t reach out to each other anymore, but are both circling in their own vortexes of emotional storms, in themselves. The helper can even feel miserable for not being able provide the help that was requested for.
  2. The person helped feels at some point overpowered by the helper, not fully understood and, as a result of that, can’t resonate with the presented advice and opinions, no matter how intrinsically good they might be. Or.... simply can't implement the advices on the fly.
    Irritation and frustration rises in an already turbulent emotional field.....

The alternative, using the power of the auto-tuning system is called ‘ tune into me’.
When a person expresses a distress call in any shape or form:” I’m in emotional turbulence, please help me.” in words and/or actions, the ‘ helper’ who picks up on this distress call, can propose this method.

Instead of an exchange mainly in words, where the person in distress needs to process all sorts of information and has to find a way to streamline that into useful actions, while being in turbulence, an exchange mainly in energy is proposed to take place.

Let me put it in the very same analogy of a pilot in distress.
Using this method, it is as if the helper offers to fly out to the place where the other actually is and all the person has to do is follow the assistance aircraft, safely back into joyful, calm territory.

Or, same idea, different analogy:
It is as with cyclists, if you are tired and have to battle to find your way against strong winds, navigating at the same time in unknown territory... it is tough!
If another person just cycles in front of you, you have many benefits following, not the least that the slipstream of his movement is lifting you, towing you, helping you and his body is calming down much of the wind force. The cycling is costing you now much less energy and you can concentrate on the essentials...keep the movement gently going, without any concern on the navigation. All by simply staying ‘ in the wheel’ for a while.

Back to emotional turbulence.
What is needed is that the helper checks with himself if he is ‘centred’, basically feeling all right, emotionally in himself. “Am I fit to take the lead in energy?”

When that is the case, he can propose:” I see you are experiencing emotional turbulence right now. I am at peace and in harmoney, you can tune into me if you want, to move through it.”

direct the mind:

If this offer is accepted, the helper takes his attention completely off the appearance of troubles in the person in distress and only focuses on the joy of taking confidently the lead. If picturing yourself on the front of a row of cyclists, or in an airplane helps to stay with vibe..... do that.
You are helping your mind to stay with it in doing so.

The person in distress puts his attention towards the assisting person and allows himself to follow and relaxes into it. If picturing yourself being behind a broad backside of another cyclist helps, or on the tail of another airplane, feeling how being in the slipstream is taking the tension of many aspects of dealing with your situation.... picture that, you are helping your mind to stay with it in doing so.

direct the body:

Also.....if you are comfortable with it, you can get your bodies involved in this process, by acting this ‘following’ out. In doing so you are, the energy in the body is also ‘ on the same case’ . The more body-mind and soul are co-operating, the more efficient (quick) it works.
The simplest way of acting it out is to position the assistant in front of the person in distress , standing/lying still or moving.

Yes, I know, turning your back to the person you are helping... is not commonly done nor advised in situations like this. But understand that you may be turning the part of your ‘form’ away from this person that is socially associated with giving attention (your face) , but you are offering your full power, the joyful slipstream of your energy! Your attention is fully with the process.. you are direction al your energy to it! If the guide dog doesn’t turn its back to the blind person, to see where they are going, he can’t do his job properly!

This whole method works on the understanding:” What gets attention...grows.”
The helper is tuning actively into the energy of joy, from an already non-( or not-too-) turbulent position. That  is not too difficult to do.
The person in distress is tuning into the energy of the other person. The assistent is steadily increasing in tuning into  joy ( peace, pleasure and harmoney). First actively  ( as a conscious decision) but then quickly followed by automatically, using the auto-tuning system( that simply tunes into all things that get full attention in your e-scape).

When the auto-tuning system of the person in distress kicks in, it makes the job for the helper also easier, because now there is more joy for him to tune into in the actual e-scape. Calmness, confidence and knowing what to do are amplified, on the fly..
The person in distress simply can’t stay in distress, the auto-tuning system following somebody in contact with joy, is pulling her out. Unless, of course, a conscious decision is made to ‘not follow’ and the attention goes to the turbulence/ misery again..... the auto-tuning system follows what gets attention in the e-scape.

Destination joy fully reached:
Once ‘ joy’ is sufficiently reached, you are both in calm more familiar territory,  the rescue-action can end.... both parties are in good spirits and confident on how to proceed.

Maybe the person in distress needs to do some repair work, look into ‘ what happened just there’ and ‘how can I avoid this from happening again, because this was no joy’.
These things can more easily be done applying hindsight, than being in the midst of the real time action, while experiencing nothing but turbulence.
Of course, both parties can agree that this investigation to learn from it can be a mutual venture too. But that is not necessary. 
The requested help to get out of the turbulence, has been given.

Advantages of this method:
You don’t have to be a professional helper, you don’t have to have had experience in what the other is going through, you don’t need opinions about it, you don’t; have to be ‘ good with words’, you don’t have to chose between various options and advices. You don’t even have to have many things in common in your respective belief systems, you don’t have to know each other well. You don’t; even have to like each other, personally. You don’t have to speak each other’s language. Nobody has to reveal anything and have the discomfort of feeling exposed and vulnerable in bringing awkward thoughts or feeling to the light.

please pay attention to a word of caution:

One word of caution if you desire to give this a try some day and help somebody move though emotional turbulence.
In the first couple of instants when you take the lead for somebody in distress, to follow you energetically, you may feel some wobbles yourself, feel some of the turbulence hitting you.
Know that it is normal.
That is the stage where the auto-tuning system of the follower is not yet sure where to tune into. In these instants , it is the job of the follower to position himself energetically to follow you, as a conscious decision. But the turbulence is still very much present and when the conscious position is not yet completely taken.....the slipstream is not yet completely in the right steady  ‘shape’.
You’ll notice that, sense that, feel that. And if you give that attention, your auto-tuning system will tune into it too.

But if you steadily stick with ‘ tuning into the joy of taking the lead happilyand confidently here and now’, your signal gets stronger and easier for the follower to pick up upon.

You’ll feel it when the other is in your slipstream and tuned in with the auto-tuning system. It gives a boost, as if you feel the wind in your back, if you have been given a set of extra wings.

recognising joy

When the idea of ‘ tuning into joy’ appeals, as introduced in the previous blog post, you might be interested to read more about  ‘recognising joy’.

I stated:”We have collectively removed ourselves so far from it, we hardly recognise its myriad of forms and shapes it can have.”

Please understand me right here. Of course we recognise certain forms joy can show itself in.
A radiant smile with sparkling eyes, a graceful move, a sweet caress, a happy tune whistled, a kitten playing, a summer landscape filled with flowers bathing in warm beams of sunlight, the smell of chicken soup on coming home, tired, on an empty stomach.....

But if you were to make a list of all the things you easily recognise as joy, even if it goes to the moon and back, three times around the world, in font size 5..... you’ve only identified a fairly limited summary of certain appearances joy can have.

If you then were to use that as a checklist of appearances you can give attention, to tune into joy, to resonate with, to experience this ‘ thrilling’ in harmony and its uplifting effects, you may find yourself on quite an unfulfilling chase for experiencing abundant joy.
You are on the lookout to find joy matching the items on your list , whether that’s in words or pictures. You are holding your definitions of joy somewhere in the back of your mind, so you can compare your reality with it and ‘ jump’ on it when you see one that could be a match.

Joy then seems to be a slippery piece of soap that jumps away from you when you touch it, leaving you wondering why you can’t hold onto it.

In my understanding, that  this happens when you use this approach, is no wonder.
If you hold the appearance of joy, the shape, the form it has taken to express itself , you are missing a couple of crucial characteristics of joy.
Joy is not a form, it is not an appearance... joy is the energy , the force behind it.  Joy is a vibration in the world of energy.
Joy is a state of mind, I often say, maybe more to the point, a state of Being.
Joy is not one thing, not even a list of things.
It is, in its essence, a shape shifter, forming and transforming endlessly.
The second you desire to grasp it, to hold onto it, to capture it, it changes shape, alters its current form and escapes your attention.
Not because it doesn’t like your attention. Not because it desires to run away from your focus  or hide from you. No, take it literally! Pay attention to details: joy is transforming, e-scaping your e-scape in full motion. It is not a static entity... it plays and invites you to play along.

So, yes, it jumps like a slippery piece of soap out of your hands (your attention =  the hands of your mind), when you squeeze to hard, on a desire to stop its mesmerising life affirming movements...... for you to admire and applaud while standing still too.
Trying to stop its movement is ending ( perceiving) it, because its essence is movement, constant change.
But if you were to allow it to e-scape (verb) your e-scape (noun)  and you’d be in tune with it on an energy level (! not appearance level!))...not-capturing it, not-restraining it in any way, just allowing it to lead your energy while running free wherever it wants to, showing you a myriad of appearances, you are joy with it.
You are not just following it, you are flowing with it.
Free, all you have to pay is attention.

So, throw away that list of things and events and activities that you think are the ingredient s of making you happy, would be a good start, freeing up some mental space and attention to the joy that is surrounding you at all times, in the most unexpected shapes and forms!

If you do like to have some form of check list at hand to recognise joy, I have a suggestion for a short-list, easy to remember.

Joy is a threefold being.
Present in joy are at all times abundantly:
  • Peace
  • Pleasure
  • Harmoney

Peace is a calmness in the core, a centeredness, a sense of unity, a knowing of  ‘no conflicts’.
Pleasure is the ‘ good vibes’ in action, in motion, of satisfying needs and desires.
Harmoney is the sustainable accordance of all (highest) values in all parts involved.
Yes, it is harmony, spelled with an e, indicating value. Just a play on words for those (most of us) who recognise money as our highest value, our ticket to joy and freedom in life.

Keep in mind when you desire to interplay joyfully:
When any of the beings involved in the interplay loses contact with peace ( of mind, for instance), pleasure and/ or harmoney.... you are (all) moving away from being with joy, in joy.
Knowing this also explains why only seeking ‘ pleasure’, gratification of your own personal needs and desires isn’t giving that soul deep felt  sensation of ‘ joy’.
When you are a being in joy, in interplay with joy, you experience a sense of unity ( without losing your own-ness), a satisfaction of al needs and desires completely in line with all your highest values.

Hard work?
Not for your auto-tuning system. Start in the world of energy and the appearances, actions etcetera will follow from Being in that state of being.
Seek joy, tune into joy in whatever shape or form it has right now.
if you don’t’ see it, simply wonder at any given moment ‘ where is the joy in this’, relax into it and follow the lead of the vibes of energy (they may also be conveyed by some less appealing looking appearances in form!).
Take any actions you feel a distinct pull or joyful (peaceful, pleasurable, harmonious) inspiration for.. it is your soul (guide dog) guiding you what you can do to contribute to experiencing more joy, right here, right now.

Cross checking.....
How to cross check, really make sure if it is joyful soulful  inspiration? Have you really recognised joy, or are you engaging with something that is likely to bite you in the ass at some time, only chasing some self-gratifying desire maybe.....?

Easy!
You wouldn’t mind telling anybody about this (plan). It is allowed out in the open, right now. (You even find it difficult to not share it, it wants to go out there!)
It does no harm, causes no conflicts, is at nobody’s expense, nowhere.
Not in you, not in anybody else. It is only adding value, adding joy and more joy (peace, pleasure and harmoney) for all involved. What is not to like? It is also something you can almost effortlessly contribute, using your talents.

Yes, it may be on the edge of your comfort zone.
That’s where joy likes to (inter)play anyway. But that’s also part of why it is thrilling you!
 It holds an opportunity to grow and develop into the next better version of yourself and an opportunity for your community to develop into the next and more joyful version of itself too.

Actually, you know everybody would benefit from you taking this action, everywhere along the lines and you are confident that everybody can be freely made aware of this ( now, or at some point in the future). The stranger, the neighbour, your partner, your boss, God,  the major, the policeman, your child.......


Any doubt present if this is really joyfull?

Tune into joy. It’ll show you what needs looking into, sorting out, playing with.
Joyful guideance is only one wonderment away......

habit(at) for the soul


Having a soul is like having a cat as a pet.
No book you ever read about the creature is ever going to give you as much understanding about it, as living with one.

It is quite funny.
I can speak with authority: I had my first cat from the age of 19, for 19 years.
Fairly soon after this fantastic creature had to pass on after a good healthy cat’s life with me, I met my soul and welcomed it as a loyal companion in my life.
To my own surprise! 

Until then, ‘ souls’ where not on my radar, whether it would be having one or being one.
A body, yes....
A mind..... yeah, I could pinpoint them in my human being household.
But a soul......?
I couldn’t have begun to say anything with any form of authority about that.

Now, I find myself not only aware of it, I have gained a lot of understanding about it, simply by living with it and observing it.
And just as devoted I was to living with my cat and supplying it with what it needed, I can’t picture myself living without an awareness of (my) ‘soul’ anymore.

Any cat owner will tell you that they are great Zen masters and you can learn a lot about life just living with one.
Well, try living with ‘soul’, if you’d be interested in finding out about life!!!

This morning, my soul gently licked my forehead on waking up as an invitation to start the day playing with new inspiration.
I had fallen asleep on a question about some unusual behaviour for my part for this week
In wonderment, I’d expressed a desire to understand why I went through such a deep painful ditch of existential misery all of a sudden?

My soul, having consulted the Knowing, informed me why this has been a Good Thing, so I could learn from it.

The answer?
A soul-need had dropped under its existential minimum levels, causing all sorts of havoc.

Anybody who has lived with a cat knows how a soft furry dream like gentle Master of the Universe  can turn within seconds into a nightmare like hairy expression of indignation and resentment if the life sustaining services leave a lot to be desired.
Like a cat always finds a way to get its point across, without using a single word, the soul is also an expert. It attracts, one way or the other, what it needs.

But a soul need is a soul need. If you mess with those, you mess with the dynamics of life itself.
So, as challenging as it may be, it is actually a Good Thing that the soul has such power, to sort things out on its own account.

Most people ( with pleasantly smooth and smiling faces) don’t make a habit of only feeding the cat after days, when it jumps at your face on your arrival with al claws aiming for your eyes.  A regular supply of what it needs keeps everybody involved happy and healthy.

The soul is not very interested in food, it is interested in energy, in vibrations.

It needs variety, depth and relief to function well within  the body-mind-soul constellation.
It needs an e-scape it can thrive in and you’ve got to provide it with something that has all the characteristics of it natural habitat, to feel well with you.

This morning, my soul explained it to me in very clear energy in formation.

The e-scape needs to have three elements for it to thrive:
(be aware this is all energy speak, which doesn’t use words and is not about anything other than pure energy! That makes any description anywhere near accurate at best a good analogy!)

  • -          Continuity of a structure to play in, work from(a home, a comfort zone, with recognisable characteristics like  shape, rhythm, flow)
  • -          Inspiration to follow( new interesting influences, of a high(er) quality , more complexion, with (more) depth to it  relief variety and a reasonable amount of challenge)
  • -          Express itself to its highest joy and be followed(initiating a change, taking the lead in a dynamic system, feel the response of other being tuning into its highest joy)

Much more understanding about how to view this was conveyed in this split second on waking up.
But there is more play and another e-scape than this computer to be enjoyed now.

extracting wisdom from experiences

Happy people playmore and rest more.
As an ambassador for playful simple waysof self-development, ME-time and the Knowing, this snippet of information doesn’t come as a surprise.
Understanding the natural, built-in human ability to learn from experiences, I know how important it is to have ‘ transformation’ time.
This time, where you are not concerned with actively taking more input in, or giving output out, allows your impressions to be arranged in a new meaningful order.

In our modern day living, we (as a species) seem to have decided we’d be better off without.
Why?
 I don’t know, I am not of that opinion.... !
But look around and see how it seems to be deeply ingrained in society that ‘doing nothing’, not being busy consuming or producing at any given time when you are awake, is a ‘ bad thing’ and a hazard to (your existence in) society.
I am of the opinion that this may be common practise, but not respecting our natural ways and therefore not producing sustainable satisfying healthy results, in the long run.

When I came across the book The Primal Connection by Mark Sisson,  I was very much taken with the insights of Primal Living.
Doing things in a way that made our pre-historic ancestors thrive and live in harmony, made so much sense.
Does that proclaim we need to go back to living in caves and hunting  and must forget about the modern day comforts in order to live in harmony with ourselves and our environment?

No, I  don’t think so. Evolution is hardly ever about going back and letting go of ‘Good Things’.
But in downgrading natural  ‘ playing’ and ‘resting’, we may have compromised a couple of things we do label as Good Things: a Good Mental Health, Harmonious Relationships  (with ourselves and others) and a sense of Wellbeing.. of being happy with Life.

In emphasizing consuming and being busy and not paying much attention to or be vaguely interested in the quality of the ‘ transformation’ : all sort of issues occur in society with a firm root in how we manage our emotional households: depressions, anxiety, addictions.....

In our emotional household, we seem to be mainly/only interested in the tender, easy to swallow  parts.
If we haven’t surrendered to eating well marketed ready meals but cook meals from scratch, most of us prefer to go for the quick and easy chicken breast, steaks and mince meats. We send quite a lot elsewhere, for it to be processed  by others  (the dog food company might like the wobbly and chewy bits)or simply dump it to let it be ‘ somebody else problem’.

In the long run, you are missing out on valuable nutritional values talking about meat.
But the same goes with being picky on which emotions you allow to come on your plate.

But anger, sadness, loneliness, boredom, grief en envie are not tasty!
They are not easy to digest!

Well, I don’t disagree that in their pure raw state, the are of a required taste to swallow them as they come.
But he....!
Who says that the only options you have are:
  • To digest it raw
  • To hand them over to somebody else or
  • To dump it

There are more and better, tastier, healthier, more sustainable options when it comes to chewy and wobbly bits when it comes to meat.
There are more and better, tastier, easier to swallow, healthier, more sustainable options when it comes to difficult emotions too.

If only you knew what gorgeous creations are possible based on transforming emotions in more tasty experiences, benefitting from all the nutritional (educational) values in them.

As most of us are lost with improvising a meal with a bunch of raw ingredients, maybe even more of us are so clueless about our own produce in our inner worlds, that we freak out and are scared of touching any of it in the first place.

Using my insights, using my knowledge of how the human system works ( naturally) in self-development, I’ve created a method anybody can use who is interested in learning how to deal (yourself) with ‘ difficult’ emotions. Supporting the built-in systems naturally present in us all, that help extract wisdom from our (own) experiences. Not simply ‘ knowledge’, but proper wisdom: knowledge applied to create ever better experiences, for all involved.

It holds all transformation supporting ingredients, for your body, your mind and your soul:
  • Play
  • Rest
  • The Knowing

I see no obstacles to use it. It is simple. It doesn't take much time. It is free.

But it is so unconventional!
Uh..... yes.
But that is only because  what used to be conventional (natural and working well, also in the long run) to our very resourceful ancestors, has gone out of fashion .

What will other people say? My friends, my family... they will see me coming with this....

Ah, now......the Good Thing in this unconventional suggestion... nobody sees you giving it a go!
That's part of the whole power behind it.

Auto tuning and devices

In introducing the auto tuning system, I mentioned that it always works.

The comparison with breathing air is not coincidental: these are both automatic processes... stopping them is highly uncomfortable and also means the end of life as you know it.
Like breathing, it works when you are awake, it also works when you are asleep.

You probably knew about breathing, it is a quite noticeable function.
The auto-tuning system may be a new one on you, since it is operating somewhat  further under the levels of your active consciousness and so you notice much less of it.

Surprised that something I call of vital importance in you can escape your attention for decades?
There are many vital processes in your system operating far below your active consciousness. Like  renewing blood cells for instance. That is also not something you are consciously involved with, that goes on 24/7, completely in tune with your personal rhythm, activities, environmental influences and various other variables.

Now that you are introduced to this auto tuning function, aware of its existence,  you may want to increase your consciousness about it and learn to play with it, because you can use it to your advantage in actively shaping your life. That is what it was meant for in the first place, to assist you in making your life easier and more harmonious in a social context.
That may sound really appealing: a more harmonious and easier life. Bring it on!
What were the option you could chose from?
O yeah, one of them was to expose yourself to inspiration more often?
Fantastic! That is super easily done.
Let’s play some movies and read inspirational websites and e-books and create and post more inspirational thoughts on Facebook. Good fun and if that’s the way forward to make life easier and harmonious: cool!

Well.......
If being able to do more of that is your main motivation to play with this new toy, then there is something you need to know . You are probably not going to like it, as a modern day person.
So, I thought I ought to mention it right away, now that the concept is freshly introduced and you might be curious to learn about it.
I am always a huge fan of founding your choices on all relevant information, as much as possible.
And this sure seems relevant to me.

You auto-tuning system isn’t interested in what something looks like, or the beauty of the words conveyed. Your auto-tuning  system doesn’t tune into that at all.
What it does tune into, is the energy patterns of the environment it is in, right here, right now, compare it with your own tuning and see how and where it can be harmonised.

Electronic devices

Something fascinating happens when you are using an electronic device, like a television  or a computer or a smart phone.

You (or more to the point, the part of you that is your conscious mind) think that you are relating to a variety of inspirational things, lifting your vibrations to ever higher and more subtle levels. And you think that ‘ enjoying’ yourself, is a good indication of that, finding inspirational input and/or creating inspirational output.
Actually, what is happening simultaneously, as another significant part of the truth,  is that your auto-tuning system is detecting in which energetical environment you are right now.

That energy landscape around you is, to describe it in one word: flat.
There is almost no variety. Your devices are transmitting a steady beat of the very same X Mhz per minute, regardless of the content you are playing with. Every device has it’s own beat, but it is not unusual for it to be 60 MHZ/minute....which in the range of possibilities is not one of the most uplifting frequencies.

So, you think you are exposing yourself to an interestingly varied subtle range of examples to follow and your mind indeed produces for a while really nice vibrations too.
But.... your auto-tuning system is meanwhile adjusting your system to a steady 60 Mhz/minute.
It has too, since the computer ( or television or smart phone) is such a powerful, steady energetic influence, completely not responding to you energetically by altering its vibrations as a response to the vibes you are creating in your mind.
Your system can only conclude that it has to adjust itself, by lowering its own vibrations now in order to  harmonize with this powerful influence in your environment, in order for you to  survive.

It doesn’t know ‘ machine’ from ‘natural source’ and treats them all the same.
It does know a couple of other things:
  • You are giving this energy emitting entity very much your full attention
  • You are investing much of your time in relating to it.
  • You are finding it fascinating and joyful to be with this.

therefore.... it must be important for you to relate to it!

It also notices that the object of your affection is clearly not able to adjust itself to your joyful, subtle, inspiring clear notes.
Therefore.....  it must be a lesser experienced being. 
So, in order for good energetic harmony to be restored, you, the more experienced, more versatile being, can play along with its tune and beat. And so you tune automatically down to a drone like frequency.

Which is not a problem, in itself. You are able to do that and able to do something else as well.

However, if you expose yourself to screens a lot, hours at the time, you might lose your flexibility and versatility at a steady speed of 60 Mhz/minute.

It is not exposing yourself more to lesser capable energy entities that are really not into change and playing with energy frequencies and vibrations that will improve and develop your own skills and abilities, stretching your talents to play with vibes far, creating beautiful compositions far beyond your imagination......

Of course... yes, in relating to a computer, you are harmoniously relating to your environment, thanks to your auto-tuning system and it is easy and you can feel comfortable knowing you can easily do this: no challenge to your what so ever.
But.... it is one of the dullest, flattest never changing energy landscapes you can find!

Even the things you touch when operating these devices are for the most part synthetic and not triggering you to tune into more natural, more varied energy patterns .
You are sitting still, for the most part, not producing any variation in your own vibes with movement either.

You, in your mind, may be having a whale of a time, just feeling a bit bog eyed after a while and stiff. You might be so absorbed by the fascinating cyber world, so tuned into that frequency, that you don’t feel (anymore) how your energy levels and zest for living as a whole being in the here and now, have dropped, since your body and soul are not so impressed with this activity for so many hours a day.

You auto tuning system is not being triggered to go from ‘twainggggg’ into more clarity and more subtlety and more variety, (if that was what you were after to achieve). But it goes for hours into almost flat lining, which has even less to offer in aliveness then playing in twainggggg’.

It is like a professional piano player. If he only plays ‘ jingle bells’ for hours in a day, weeks in a row, it doesn’t improve his ‘ fur Elise’, let alone anything more complex.

If you’d like  to be serious about developing yourself into the best version you can imagine, close to your Divine Blueprint... then I suggest to be very cautious with your screen time.

Personally, I have as a guideline: no longer than 4 hours a day and in at least two stints with a proper break in between, away from the whole cyber scene. Giving my auto-tuning system something else to tune into, with more variety, something in the here and now, preferably.

And find lively, open for change energy emitting entities to play with. They may respond to you, on an energy level and you in turn to them....


Yourself ( away from the computer and television) and element of nature, are usually never far away.

I ask the part of me....

The other day, I introduced the ‘ I surrender’ option, which activates a meta-search on all your recent search queries, especially useful when you feel, somewhere down the investigative road, that your queries haven’t lead to fulfilling results.

Today, I’ll introduce a closely related option you can use ‘ on the fly’ of everyday life.

Because sometimes, you simply are not in a position to mull over various options, look into them and then apply a hindsight on an extensive search process. At times, you are in the thick of it, finding yourself right in the middle of a challenging or unusual situation with which you have got to deal ‘right away’.

Just jump in and ‘see what happens’ is likely to produce various outcomes: some with relief:” Pwew, that wasn’t so bad after all, I dealt well with it.”.... some with regrets and disappointments:” OMG... I should have done, I could have done, but instead I did..... I wish I dealt differently with it, in hindsight.”
To increase the likelyhood of the former to happen, over the latter, asking the Knowing to help you ‘on the fly’, helps you for hindsight to kick in before it is too late to deal with it in a better way.

It is like wandering around in a foreign unknown big city where you don’t speak the language.
You can just go and “see what happens”, looking for clues whenever you might need them ( signs in the street, landmarks...and trying to make yourself understood with pointing at things).

But what if you had a smart phone with you with various apps: a plan of the town indicating using GPS on any given time where you are right now?
Highlighting the point of interests as you walk past them, customized to your personal likes?
Access to reviews on the museum you like the look of, but find quite expensive... would it be worthwhile?
Access to translating programs, maybe even to such an extended that you can use it as a translator to speak directly with any of the locals: you speak your language to the machine... it speaks ‘ local’.... the other person replies to the machine in his/her language and you get this reply as clear as day in your own language.
You are in a position of using the available ‘ Intelligence’, on the fly, increasing the possibility that you have a jolly good time: you are not making a fool of yourself, you don’t stress for getting lost and don’t waste money and time on a museum that has a fancy flyer, but is promising more than actually delivering.

And if you use it wisely it is adding to the joy of your stay.
Wisely..... I would see as:” Don’t hide behind it and don’t cling to it all the time, forgetting to looking at other things than the device.....” Because then you might miss the experience of the town itself even while you are there, which seems to me completely besides the point of being there in the first place....!

For using the intelligence of the Knowing, you don’t need a smart phone to run similar apps.
How convenient, you are the device you need here, always at hand.

But like the smart phone isn’t doing anything much for you if you don’t look at it, customize it and act upon its indications... the Knowing isn’t either.

If you are curious about this ‘on the fly’ feature, you need to ask for it to ‘ open’ and reserve some attention on the indications you get and act upon them.

How to ask for it to open?
It is a simple speech recognition command:
“ I ask the part of me who can happily and confidently deal with this situation to take the lead”.
“ I ask the part of me who can happily and confidently deal with this situation to take the lead”.


You can apply it at any given time.
The Knowing detects, like a GPS knows where you are, what ‘ this situation’ is, providing you with all information that is known about this situation, customized to your (known) likes and dislikes and capacities (as your own experience stands) .
Drip feeding the necessary information to you in such a way that ‘ happily and confidently’ can be maintained, never ‘ in the way’ of experiencing the real experience... but enhancing it.....since that is what you are after to experience, even in an unknown, potentially challenging situation.

How to act upon what relevant information comes through, be aware of it?

See how the phrase is constructed.
I ask the part of ME.......to DEAL........

I am giving myself permission to implement  (act upon) the information as it comes through, used by whichever part of me would have the most experience in confidently taking the lead. 

That means that my conscious mind doesn’t have to figure out all the time which app needs to be on top of my screen now, which information is most relevant now or how to respond in the most beneficial way!
It is allowing for all the appropriate information to flow and shift naturally, as the situation unfolds, taking all I am, right now, into account.
My conscious mind can in a way ‘ sit back and enjoy the ride’, still  being fully in charge, fully response able, but also not wasting time and energy while interacting with the situation.

Be aware:
This command works until you re-call it, either in words or actions.
That means that by the time your conscious mind start s to actively figure things out for itself (again), fixing a certain aspect onto the top screen of its attention, it stops the flow and natural shift of the ‘on the fly’ customized information stream and also stops it to be implemented right away.

Which is fine, of course.
Just keep this snippet of information in mind, before you come to the conclusion trying this feature that ‘this doesn’t work for me’.
Because it does, it does for everybody since it is part of the packet, part of your built in operating system. But not if you specifically ask it not to, by doing the work yourself , withdrawing the permission to implement information on the fly and this way stopping this ingenious intelligence system to work for you ( with you would be more accurate, I’d say).

If your current customized setting is ‘ no automatic changes allowed’ ( all decisions have to go past me ( the conscious mind).. then .... it follows your lead.
If your current customized setting is ‘OK with outsourcing all the practicalities as long as they are in line with my highest values, desires and levels of expertise’ ( that where the happy and confident comes in), then it’ll flow harmoniously (again).

Conclusion, it follows your lead, always.
Hurrah..... responsibility, in charge, at all times!
I find it makes responsibility a joy rather than a burden: increasing responseability in any given situation.


Personally, I can recommend using it.
And so I just did.

Wellbeing

Some words are naturally attached to a topic.

Somebody ( a down to earth woman with a scientific approach) asked me once:” Can you describe what you do without using the words ‘ soul’ and ‘energy’, please?”
Those words were rubbing so much on her belief system that she couldn’t listen to anything containing those words as key words. She thought I was talking about something supernatural which her scientific mind couldn’t accept to process.

Well, I AM talking about something that is super natural ( the soul) in the sense that it is a natural phenomena, designed and equipped for doing natural things, each and every single day of your life.. And.....her mind couldn’t process a single bit of information on any topic, without a supply of energy. That makes it quite remarkable how reluctant her mind was to allow any input on ‘ soul’ and ‘ energy’ to be processed. ... 

In my understandings, the soul is the main feature in the energy household of your body-mind-soul system. Without it, nothing is happening, you’re not ‘live’.

Talking about the Knowing, without talking about ‘soul’ and  ‘energy’ is bordering on impossible.

I said to her, that I can work my way around many challenges, but this one would be tough.
I myself can appreciate that the word ‘soul’ is put into various fascinating lights, by the hard core scientific world, through lyrics and poems, all the way to organised religion. More often than not, being held far from everyday life and all down to the ground natural processes.

Enfin, I haven’t found a way ( yet) to talk about this without using the word energy....
But I have found a great way to show what the soul is, what the soul does (in my understanding) by replacing it with the words wellbeing.

One of the meanings of a well is a source. It is a source being. It sources both energy and information, allows it to flow to the surface where it can be used.
What does this source being accomplish, when all is well? Wellbeing.
The wellbeing plays a crucial ( natural) part in your wellbeing.
The more well ( fully functioning in a healthy way) it is, the more well you are.

And it is very much like a water source in a community.
Your wellbeing and health has a relation with what everybody else does with the source too.

If you block the flow, or divert it to your fields only, others are lacking clean water and will find ways to show you that they are not pleased with that... as a result of finding pitch forked angry neighbours on your path, your wellbeing is not so bright on all scores, even if you have the access to the water.
If others pollute the water with their waste material, the wellbeing of all is compromised, the health of everybody deteriorates.

Most people agree that it is a good thing to look after your own wellbeing.
I agree, I consider it a very good thing too, to look after your own energy and information household, to keep it open, clear and flowing.
And yes, you’ve got your own tap, to tap into the flow of energy and information.
But in the community of mankind..... those taps all lead to one source, one well, where all experiences ( invested energy information) return to ( like the ongoing cycle of water on earth) , to be used again: the Knowing.

In observing and actively improving the quality of your own energy and information household.... the quality of the whole energy and information household improves: the levels of wellbeing for all rise.

Model of the world

Yesterday, when I felt slightly ‘off’ and didn’t do any computer work, I finished reading the first murder mystery novel I read in years.

It used to be my preferred genre of reading. For at least ten years in a row, I used to go through three of those a week. I developed a taste for mysteries, detectives and psychological thrillers written by women. Sorry guys, but a couple of hundreds of books under the belt..... I just find that the chances of finding satisfying depth and convincing dialogues and characters are higher with female authors.
I also had a tendency to favour European writers over Americans for the very same reasons.

What made me decide to read this first murder mystery in years, written by an American guy?

The fairly limited choices in Dutch books in this English household in France, may play a part in that.
The fact that most books in this household have a military theme, may have something to do with it too.... not my cup of tea.
As well as the fact that somebody else said he really enjoyed reading it and recommended it to me.
That Sigmund Freud and Carl Jung figured heavily in it, probably settled it.... having just read an intriguing book about Carl Jung’s life, seen through the eyes of a friend of his.

What drives a person? What motivates a person to do what he does?

Fascinating question to play with. ( To me... I play with it every day)

The author plays with drip feeding clues, so that there is enough confusion created for the reading experience to be interesting throughout the book.
The detectives, trying to figure out in the book ‘ who did it’, are highly aware of the importance of this question. Not only because there is always a reason for a crime to take place. ‘ Who did it’ seldom comes without ‘ why?’.
But also because there are many reasons why the offender is covering up for having done what he did, what makes finding out what happened in need of ‘ hard evidence’ .... undeniable truth, challenging.
What other people say and do, is usually not ‘ hard evidence’ either, since those people might have various motivations to be economical or fictional with the truth as they see it, or blind even to obvious clues that may lead to less desired outcomes.

When everything ‘ falls in place’ and all motivations and all available clues fit together ... the mystery is solved. Relief.....we have reached a model of the world that fits. All discomfort in all the confusion has disappeared... we know now.... we understand it too.
Could that be what motivates us? A drive to see that the model we have at hand, fits?
Yes, we are highly intrigued by the models other people have of the world and how people behave under various (challenging) circumstances. Why else would people read stories and watch movies and television?

How do we use this information on what others do and say?

Are we prepared, willing and able, to let these other models be of significant consequence to the development of our own?

So to me, maybe even more fascinating that ‘ what drives a person to do something, within his model of the world’, is the question ‘ what drives a person to change his model of the world’?
The only correct answer to that questions, I think right now, is:” When the discomfort and confusion of seeing that the model at hand doesn’t work anymore, it doesn’t completely fit anymore and the model doesn’t serve the purpose anymore.”

In some stories (lives) this process of sticking to a model takes all the pages.
In all stories (lives) it is the curious investigative character driven by a desire to see the highest truth, who is willing and able to hold over and over new models of the world to the light, incorporating along the way more and more of what is clearly ( observable) known about a situation. The ability to understand the model of the world of people as they present it in words and deeds and relating all that  to ‘ own gut feeling’ (vibes) seems to help developing new models along quite nicely.... solving a couple of mysteries along the way too.

Is the amount of flexibility you built into your ability to remodel your model of the world according to your own experiences, strongly related to what you define as its purpose?
What happens when ‘the way, the truth and the light’ becomes ‘ the purpose’ of our being? A lot less discomfort, confusion and unfair-to-others, with deceit covered up actions maybe?

How are we than going to keep all the pages of (the books of) our lives interesting?

Lies there the origin of the apparent difficulties of remodelling our model of the world in such a way that we believe (to the core)  it is possible to lead an interesting life, with everything we need in it, by being honest to ourselves and others, aware of how the truth serves the bigger picture of ‘our wellbeing’?

Do we assume that life couldn’t be interesting and surely wouldn’t give us what we personally want for ourselves from it, without keeping quite some relevant information on what is going on in our lives covered up?

I don’t know, with a 100% sureness. However.... the hypothesis that this is what is going on under the bonnet of ‘mankind’ alive on this planet right now, would make a lot of sense, looking out on the clues I get from it .

Writing this, I have to confess.... this is obviously all a construction in my model of the world...
Ha, ha... . who is to say that I am not writing all this stuff from a far too large imagination, trying to spice things up!!?? 

But wait a minute... if I am the offender here, I shouldn’t be confessing that that is a possible truth!
I gain nothing by doing that, I might even lose my sanity, thinking this.
That is not comfortable and very confusing!

Which, in turn gives clues that being open doesn’t mean letting go of the sensations of a tantalizing level of  discomfort and some unsettling confusion. 

So life could still be interesting, even in an open honest model of the world.....?

Scarily beautiful

I have chosen my ‘ nom de plume’ Dageraad, because it means dawn, in Dutch.
Major but relatively unconventional inspiration, that I identify as coming from the Knowing, usually finds me in that brief window of time where the conscious mind is awake enough to observe, but not awake enough to object or reject right away the new concepts... at dawn.

The new idea has usually just enough links to what is consciously known to my own belief system , things I am puzzling with, to raise some curiosity that allows it to get some more attention.

Sometimes there is a very delicate balance between seeing the beauty and usability of an idea related to the things I am working on and the unconventionality of it.  Having a fair idea on what is understood to be ‘normal’ by the others involved..... I know how far-fetched this idea may seem to them.

When an idea comes in that rings true on being ‘viewed with suspicion, by others ( and also knowing why)’ it is not a complete joy to toy with the idea in my attention. It is, as I call it, ‘ scarily beautiful’.

I ‘d like to think that I handle all ideas with care, but these scarily beautiful ideas get the royal treatment of care.
Two reasons:
  • Because I do want to take the feelings of the others involved into account... if for no better reason than that no-one will ever consent in partaking in the practicalities of bringing an idea into the world, if they don’t give it at least the benefit of the doubt.
  • Because these scarily beautiful ideas have so much potential to make a real difference, not just to me or one other person. They always vibrate on a level of major importance, having the potential to make a difference in the increase of the wellbeing for many people.

Yes, apart from dealing with the beauty on the one hand side and the scary part of mentioning a far-fetched idea to somebody on the other side, there is also a scary part right in the middle, where I feel the responsibility that it is up to me to act wisely with all this, to give it a fair chance.

This morning, I received such scarily beautiful inspiration.
I am buzzing with it, glowing internally.

This is not the place, nor the time to share more details about the content of it.
But I do feel a drive to express and share my gratitude for receiving this inspiration from the Knowing, here.

I surrender...

My alternative to the ‘I’m feeling lucky’ button ( and hope for the best) is a speech command in the Knowing.



As far as I know, Google doesn’t have a functionality that compares nicely to how it works.
It could be an asset for the world wide web too, but then again..... maybe nobody would be using it.

Still, I’ll be explaining how it works staying close to how Google works.

When you are on a quest for a suitable solution for a complex situation, meaningful and highly important to your wellbeing, you are usually not ‘ done’ with filling in one search query and picking a suggestion, having gone through a number of suggestions in that one list of options presented to you.

An ‘ extended’ search, a session browsing the internet, usually involves:
  • Filling in several search queries in search engines
  • Browsing through several options presented
  • Selecting and looking into the most promising ones more deeply
  • Sharpening your search queries based on what you’ve found (using synonyms, or new previously unknown words you noticed being used a lot on sites that seem to be related)
  • Flying completely different angles to approach the same topic with.
  • Exploring completely different topics, also of interest to you, apparently ( at least at a conscious level) not related to the search at hand.

When information overload, frustration and confusion start to take its toll and you are losing the fun in the process, not knowing where you are with it all and losing track of where you actually were supposed to be going with it anyway.... then this functionality comes in handy.

It does a meta- search over your search process and presents you with suggestion overlooking the whole process you are in, keeping an eye on what resonates with you ( even without you consciously knowing what resonates with you).

How?

The system has kept a log on your whole search query history.
It knows what you looked for, it knows which pages you opened, it even knows how long your stayed on each page, it knows where you left the page and what you next query contained.
Did you incorporate a word from the last page that you hadn’t come across before? You probably saw the potential in it.
Did you completely change course after seeing a page? You probably got discouraged or seeing more of the same.

Juggling al that, it can compose a very high quality, very detailed search query.
A complex but harmonious composition of the ingredients of your search process.
So detailed, where details matter to you and so broad, where it doesn’t and completely true ( giving your actual actions)..... it must be a high quality search query!

But, you’ve got to ask for it to happen.

In the Knowing, I ask it to provide me with this service in the following way.
  • I say out loud ( or with full intend in my mind) : I surrender. ( That calls the function)
  • I do: I surrender. 

That means:  I let go of all activity and all active mental processes. I consciously stop using my system and give way to let it process all the available information and come up with suggestions. It often means to lie flat on my back, arms wide and ‘ let go’, relax and simply be ‘ open for suggestions’.

I don’t do anything, until I am really happily and confidently drawn to a certain action.
Without fail, what comes up then, is the best suggestion of the day, taking everything into account I value. Often there is a list of more suggestions and I can choose between various good options.

What helps in this process is doing everything with full attention and being true to yourself. Am I giving something 1 hour of my attention, while I actually don’t like what I am looking at and was I actually bored with it after 20 seconds?

It will be registered as ‘ valuable to me’, given my action of giving it so much time and attention!
To please somebody else? The importance of pleasing this person ( in this case... or structurally when it occurs frequently) will be registered as ‘ very important’ in the bigger scheme of things.
Am I not following up on something that interests me, even for a couple of minutes to investigate?
The system will interpret that as that I am not interested, since I didn’t give it more attention. I didn’t even ‘ bookmark’ it in to my system to look at it later, to express my interest honouring also that I don’t have the time now to do so.

The more my actions and words are in line with my actual values of what is of interest to me, the better suitable the results of this function are.

Knowing that the Knowing ( unlike Google) is not only registering in energy resonances what you do on a computer, what you give attention in cyberspace, what you invest your energy in online, but is monitoring all the things that actually pass the screen of your body-mind-soul system ..... monitoring your energy investments and aligning them with your truly desired values helps for this function to really bring forward wonderful options to chose from.

I call that ‘ say ‘yes’, mean ‘ yes’ and do ‘ yes’ in as much of your reality as possible.
Every day, from moment to moment.
So that at any given time when confusion kicks in and you’d like to be guided into high quality suitable suggestions by the Knowing..... the surrender function has good quality material to work with, your actual resonances.

So much more can be said on this topic.
But I've had enough of working at the computer now.
So, I am going to do something else now.
